Someone remember the rhyme
1 for sorrow
2 for joy
3 for a girl and
4 for a boy
5 for silver
6 for gold
7 is a secret never to be told
8 is a wish and
9 is a kiss
10 is a bird you must not miss
This was clicked on 17th October 2010 on the way to Sariska from Delhi… Reminded me of my childhood where we would get super excited trying to spot two birds

I do remember, but must say I did not know the whole poem he he 😉
The version I have heard only says 1 for, 2 for and 3 for a letter 😛
Ohh and thanks Monu for sharing this joy with all of us 🙂 Hugs:)
1 for success, 2 for joy, 3 for a letter, 4 for thief and 5 for guests 🙂 this is what i remember.. or something on those lines…. looks like a twisted version of the original one if that is what you have posted here..
but yes, what a memory! 🙂
I had never heard that rhyme… Will teach it to my niece…. 😀
We used to say 4 for toy and then when we grew up it became 4 for boy.. 🙂 I thought it ended at 7.
I remember it too, but I only knew till 2. Btw, Mon, the project 365 is about capturing your life in these 365 days, right, so are you allowed to upload an old pic? Just asking 😉
yeah its doesnt but while I did the first post I mentioned that I am changing the rules a little to my comfort… I might be posting old pics sometimes when I can’t take a fresh pic or when I am travelling like this week but I will clearly mention it
Ok, I’m going to do it too 🙂
so much peace in the pic! beautiful!
That’s a lovely shot! I didn’t know the entire verse – knew just the first two lines!
Never heard this rhyme 😦
I knew only till 2 for JOY after that nothing .. but thanks to you now i know all of it 🙂
