She was cuddling with her new born. She had always wanted a daughter but now that she had a son she wondered whether the secret disappointment would count as cheating, now that she had a son she also let a huge sigh of relief thinking about the nights she would actually sleep.
She had always wanted a daughter but now…
Beautiful and great work on the 55-word challenge too 🙂
thanks
Sometimes all it takes are a few words to say it all… beautifully done!!
thanks ruth
Intense. I love it.
thanks
I absolutely got chills reading this one Mon, in fact didn’t comment immediately as the feeling was so intense. So true, sadly.
sometimes I wonder what kind of world are we brining our kids into
if only the sons were that safe. Mothers getting a peaceful sleep is a myth. you would know!
true that like u said I would know but then there is a tad better hope for our sons and I think a lot more responsibility too.
The fact that I have two, though I’m happy in my heart but in reality I’m actually very very scared as to how safe is it for my growing girls:). The world is no more the same as it was when I grew up!!! :((( reading this scares me more!!!
I so so sure writing in 55 words only is so tough 🙂 Loved to read it Mon.
thanks pallo but I really love 55ers
