Ojas is a really fussy eater, hardly eats and when he eats it feels that he is the one who is always on diet… wouldnt touch ghee and butter… anything I put the these two things would be refused point blank…

From past sometime everyone has been telling me he has become thin but I was like ok as long as he is healthy I dont care… but in his last visit the doc also mentioned that he is dropping percentiles and not putting on weight (he has actually not put on a single gram in the past two months )

So started a search for a snack (that is what he loves to have rather than full meals) and when my mom made the besan ladoos he loved… me and mom sat and came up with the power ladoos… and here is the recpie… he eats on every morning and sometimes one in the evening too… i am glad he is enjoying this and thought will share with u all…

  • 2 cups of mixed pulses (i took all of the pulses at home, apart from channa dal)
  • 2 cups of multigrain flour (here is how u can make it)
  • 1 cup of besan
  • 1/2 cup semolina
  • 2 cups of ghee
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (ojas likes this when its less on sweet, if u want add more sugar)
  • 2 cup of mixed dry fruits (almonds, cashew, melon seeds, chirongi, flax seeds, walnuts)

  1. Wash and dry all pulses
  2. Dry roast the pulses for 4-5 mins till they turn very light brown, take care not to overroast them
  3. Dry roast the dry fruits for 4-5 mins
  4. Finely grind the pulses
  5. Coarsely grind the dry fruits
  6. Heat oil and add the flour to it
  7. Fry for 5-6 mins stirring continuously, take care not to let it stick to the pan
  8. Add the powered dals and fry for 3-4 mins
  9. Add the semolina and fry for another 3-4 mins
  10. Add the besan and fry for 6-7 mins till u get a nice aroma and ghee comes out in the side of the pan
  11. Add the dry fruits and sugar and fry for another 3 mins
  12. let it cool and make ladoos

He really enjoys eating it and I think it provides him some amount of fats needed plus the other nutrition too…
