Yeh Dilli Hai Mere Yaar, Bas Ishq Mohabbat Pyaar
Basti Hai Mastano Ki Dilli Dilli, Gali Hai Deewano Ki Dilli 6…
Bolo Bolo Milo Se Dilli Dilli, Bolo Bolo Milo Se Dilli 6
Basti Hai Mastano Ki Dilli Dilli, Gali Hai Deewano Ki Dilli 6
Oh I am feeling so nostalgic… feels like going back to home right away…
I saw Delhi 6 yesterday night and fell in love with it, the movie hardly has a story if u ask me but still says so much… the delhi attitude, the small nuisances… the way old delhi is shown…
Oh I loved it all…
Ok I agree its not as good as RDB but the movies like RDB happen once in a lifetime and I think a comparison would be totally unfair…
If u have anything to do with Delhi, u’ll realise how good the movie is… Delhi is the hero of the movie and ya the kala bandar too 🙂
I also loved the way the movie weaved in Ramayana and ramlila in between, the relevant chapters running thru the movie… it made it so relevant to the current times…
Loved the way the social issues like communalism etc are just weaved in… the way hindus and muslims co-exist lovingly and then one word from someone the riots start and then suddenly they become friends again… this exactly is delhi my friend…
And hey did I mention that there was one more reason to be nostalgic… Me and N went for this movie on our bike after ages… Oh man… I love it…. resting the head on his shoulder, hugging him from behind, hair flying away, cold wind blowing into my face… I so miss our long, aimless, destination less bike rides… I want them back
after the review, i made M read it, and she said i want to feel the same….lets do it….so this time when we would be India, we would be doing the same…
I must see it too – love my city
I love Delhi, and am eagerly looking forward to seeing this movie ..
Exactly Monika… the movie has a charm and will most definitely woo the people who have been to chandni chowk….
Not just that the movie is so so relevant… the blank monkey… the bad in all of us… I thought he conveyed it very beautifully and thoughtfully…
Wish some one in real life cud do that…
Like you started Dilli hai Mastano ki Dilli Dilli….
I cant stop humming…. Ishq Mohabbat Pyar…
P.s. The rich and the famous welcome to the world of bikes again… I never noticed that it was so much fun, now suddenly I dont want a car so badly !!
I love bike rides… especially when the roads are sparsely populated, and you can move at a constant pleasantly high speed!
And the best is when you do that in Delhi in the winters!!!!
Just came back after watching this lovely movie. And I love it all the reasons you have given and even more … I am no movie buff and I kept thinking the movie reminded me of RDB now you say the director is the same guy! No wonder !!!
It may not be as big a hit, unfortunately because while I was absolutely gushing and claiming this is the best movie I have ever seen my husband thinks its only ok 😦
(I even read out review to him) …. but then he hasn’t lived in Delhi while I have … maybe that is why I loved it so much …
i dont think it has anything to do with whether you have lived in delhi or no. i havent and i LOVED it. I smsed M that i NEVER wanna leave India 30mins into the film.
while RDB was obviously patriotic, this one is subtle and touched your heart much deeper than RDB did.
while RDB was supposed to make you indignant and question, this one was meant to make you throw away differences and love our country for all that it is!
i liked it MUCH more than pandering to NRI crowds swades! 🙂
and the music! oooh! awesome!
cheers!
