I can say that as many times as it takes to make a difference…

Goofy Mamma has started a Say No to Criminals campaign which initially started after our dear (our shall I say our un-dear) Sanju baba decided to enter politics as he was really pissed with his sister to take over what his dad build…

A lot of bloggers have already said a lot abt it…Go read this and this by Goofy Mamma, IHM did two posts and then the famous Dutt Rhymes post which I enjoyed the most :), there one by Mad Momma

All has been said more or less…

Till he came out and did this smart thing I always had a little soft corner for him, I used to think he is one of those guys who is just refusing to grow up and is basically a spoilt brat but good by nature… he got stuck with drugs but he recovered everyone does some crazy things in the youth… then he got stuck with a gun…i still brushed it aside thought of it as childish act and always refused to believe he was guilty…my guess is there were a lot of people like me out there…today I am surprised why I behaved that way… but I did

But now finally what he has done is like a blow to me personally,I mean its like someone u like admire and stabs u in the back… I know I sound crazy but I didnt want to lie… But ya if there is one thing I am very clear now or for that matter always was only the reasons become stronger than softer now….

HE SHOULD NEVER EVER POLITICS….

does he even know what is politics? and I am not even talking about the remarks he made on women… What will he do for Lucknow sitting in Mumbai and Amar Singh said Films are his first priority…. is politics a hobby which u can take up as second third pr etc…. ridiculous….

But for me the most important part of this campaign is taking it beyond Sanjay Dutt and standing up and asking as a nation for leaders with Criminal records only…

We need people who are clean and honest to run this country….

I dont know what it takes to achieve this, I dont know if this post is going to make a drop of difference to anything… But someone started this and I want to support the noble cause as much as I can…

Come folks lets make the country cleaner…

LETS SAY NO TO CRIMINALS IN POLITICS ….

even if it means having only handful leaders left 😉

I have been trying to wean Ojas from the bottle to the sipper and the other day when I came back from the office the communication looked something like this:

ME : did he had milk in the evening?
Maid: yes didi
ME : sipper main ya bottle?
Maid : (fumbling) nahin sipper nahin piya
ME : did u give sipper first
MIL : ya she gave he was refusing… crying

Then later in the night conversation with maid
ME : did u mix horlics with milk when u gave in the sipper?
Maid : sipper?????
ME : evening u gave sipper na???
Maid : (badly fumbling…)haan voh haan voh
ME : (scolding already…. )sipper diya tha ki nahin???????
Maid : nahin madam aaj nahin diya

Post this explained to her calmly that its ok if u do anything wrong but dont lie etc and why I am trying

But my problem is not that, can someone explain WHY MY MIL LIED??????

I am speechless and hurt….

why do mil’s trust maids more than their own DIL’s???????

Heaven in the south part of India… COORG…. I simply adore it… will do a full trip update on the travel blog soon… but had a blast of a trip…

And now its like back to the grind… but it feels good after a short break…

I am yet to catch up on the blogs… will come and read all of them soon… till then leaving u with some coffee pics from Coorg 🙂

BTW for those who have not guessed till now the above photographs are of a machine which roast and grinds fresh coffee beans and how heavenly the smell was there… it bought some of this coffee and it tastes divine…

No I am serious… At times when India is struggling with so many big issues…. education, poverty, female infanticide, terrorism, castism… I mean u name and we have it…

and there are a set of people who decide that only that is not enough we need to have some issues and now with the name of movies…

A case has been filled against Rahman and Anil, check out the news here… it fails me… office bearer of a slum dwellers’ body who has filled the case… doesnt he have anything good to do? I am sure there will 1000 problems he can try and solve if he looks inside and yet all he chooses to is file a case against Slumdog Millionare… because the movie calls the DOGS….

I have no words…. U know this is exactly why India is not progressing the way it can, when will we understand the real issues we need to stand up to???

Me, sis A and a friend S were declared cray yesterday night that too by a server in a nice looking cafe while he was blushing away to glory and we three giggling 🙂

Confused? This is what happens when three girls who have just returned from a very satisfactory shopping trip to Commercial street spending close to 3 hours checking out things and buying quite a few too enter a newly opened place The French Quarter Bistro…

We decided to go here as S had seen this place from outside and liked it and I agree that the feeling was the same once we went inside… Its spacious, open, well lit and there something abt it which makes one feel good specially after shopping 😉 as the place was new (it opened on 15th I believe) we were the only people in the cafe and hence we were free to speak as we wanted as if we cared otherwise 😉

we changed the order n number of times, modified something in one dish and something in another… told the server that ask your owner to start serving black current ice tea, he should start serving some beer too… A declared the desert she wanted to have at the end of the meal before even thinking of starters and what else it could other chocolate mouse… pulled each other’s leg.. giggled like little girls… all this when we had the whole place and the staff dedicated to us….

we had a blast and the food was excellent too… the pricing seemed to be on the higher side though but we enjoyed and then came the time when I asked him to get the bill… he asked us did we enjoy the meal and we all replied together… very much and thak comes the reply mam we enjoyed too… blushing the guy told us that he has never seen customers like us, we are so frank and happy and having so much fun…. in nutshell we are crazy 😉 and guess what we did we giggled more and S made the guy blush even more by asking his history… where is from and all that…

Girlie fun I tell u nothing can beat that…. what a glorious way to end the weekend… Long Live girlfriends!!!

PS: there is a lot more I did this weekend which I want to share but this deserved a post in itself…

Life has its own ways and it keeps showing us this time and again… We had an off on 14th for Pongal/Sankranti and had a near perfect day… got up a little late (even Ojas obliged us by sleeping till late), had a heavy brunch of stuffed bread pakoras and sweet pongal…

Lazed around at home through the afternoon, played with Ojas, spent time with N and then went for a short shopping trip in the evening and had a lovely simple dinner of channa dal pulao and curd vada, caught a movie on DVD….

Could one ask for more? Naah…. and this was the spirit when I suddenly got the news that my company has filled for bankruptcy…. which is partly untrue as it has actually filled for Chapter – 11 which is bankruptcy protection and not really bankruptcy….

But the situation is grim… as of now it seems that there will be no impact on the India center and we are all hoping that the company will come back from it stronger than ever but these are not easy clauses…

they create unrest in the mind… uncertainty in the life… people have been advising me start looking for a job before the feared happens but somehow I am not upto it… its been only 6 months since I joined this company but I feel for it, I have started thinking of it as my company and I feel like doing something for it… may be its not right for me from my career prospective… dont know… and anyways I think its too early to start looking for a change

gladly the only thing that is a saving grace is that I have loads of work in office 🙂 the company is banking heavily on the product we are working on…

so as of now I am adopting the wait and watch policy and that somehow is not a good frame of mind to be in… hope things improve soon

President aa rahe hain 😉

I watched The President is coming in the weekend and what a blast the movie is… its a laughter riot…

The concept of the movie was so original and innovative, its a comical satire set in 2006 when Bush visited India and the movie says that Bush wants to meet “A Young Indian” and hence a PR agency is hired to search the Young Indian…

A brilliant cast and fantastic characterization places the movie in my list of best movies ever seen… It portrays each character in the movie so well…

the babe from Delhi who is running a cosmetic business and is a total daddy’s girl (played by Ira Dubey) and talks in “I am like archana like I run a 4-crore cosmetic business which I like started from 3 crores”…

an accent trainer from Gurgaon who runs a company EASY (pronounce EAaaaa ZZZZZZZ)…

a stock broker who is incidentally named Kapil Dev, thinks everyone can be bribed and knows all the stock symbols by heart…

a social worker who is the biggest hyprocite, a shiv sena supported, is against women wearing jeans, divorce and muslims and yes he has a IIM grad…

a gay software engg but ofcourse from namma bengaluru who is trying desperately to prove to the world he is normal by trying to get married and read up on how to seduce women…

and a novelist from Bengal played brilliantly by Konkana who can do just anything tp meet the president (I want to tell something but that will be like a spoiler)…

and then there are the two people from the PR agency one totally efficient girl who is bossed around by a kleptomaniac boss

The movie is a must watch for everyone… go grab it ASAP 🙂 Its a movie which could represent a new beginning for bollywood

Happy Lohri to all… Its a festival that I love so much (but then I love almost all of them 😉 )… the bonfire… the dance around it, the rewadis, the gazaks… the popcorns… the sunder mundriye…. the hours of chat sessions of the youngsters after the elders have gone home 😉 I miss all this…

Its basically a harvest festival of Punjab and to know about what traditionally Lohri stands, its history etc Go here…

for compliments… Sunday afternoon we were having lunch when N commented that I am always fishing for compliments… I so admit that 🙂 specially when I have cooked something special or I have cooked something for the first time or I have dressed up for some special occasion or I am wearing a new dress or I am wearing something I dont everyday like a saree… ok ok I got it covers pretty much everything I do 🙂

I love compliments and was wondering if there is any female who doesn’t for that matter which human doesn’t? some are good with receiving them some get too embarrassed to react but surely everyone loves them…

Me I am all too happy if I get one and give a biggest possible smile, whats ur style?
