Agni pariksha tou Sita ma ko bhi deni padhi thi…
Sita maa ko bhi apni pavitrata ki pariksha deni padhi thi…
Tum kya samjhti ho tum Sita maa se bhi pavitar ho…

This is what every female who is doubted, who is questioned about her morals is told if she questions back…

These are the sentences we hear in every hindi movie or these days even in serials (thanks to Ekta Kapoor but let me reserve that for a separate post). These are the sentences which probably every female would have heard atleast in life if she is small from a slightly conservative family even in a city for no fault of hers and here I am not even talking about villages, I don’t have enough courage to think of them and the kinds of life they are living. These are the questions that are put up to females because the men their life want to feel great…

Though I want every female to ask the men that are they Lord Rama themselves to ask us for a agniparikhsha, I often wonder who is responsible for all this? Often wonder what is that which has brought us to this position? And then can’t help but admitting to myself that isn’t it “Sita Ma” herself???

Years ago, if she would have told no to Lord Rama for the agni pariksha then may be the future of lakhs of females would be different… had she stood up to the rights and questioned the trust that is supposed to be there in a marriage then today the situation would be different may be…

And anyways even inspite of the agni pariksha what did she get in the end? Being thrown out of her house by the husband in charges of cheating on the husband… on the charge that precious gift she is carrying in her womb is a result of the some illicit relationship and not through the legal marriage.

Wouldn’t all this have been different if she would have said no… wasn’t she wrong in accepting everything quietly? But then if she was wrong how can we call her Goddesses….

CAN GODS GO WRONG???????????? And who punishes them when they go wrong?
