Abc Wednesday, Abc Wednesday Round 5, asha bhonsle, cheeni kum, ijaazat, Ilaiyaraaja, iron maiden, r d burman, sadma
I is for Iron Maiden and their brilliant track Fear of the dark…
I is also for Ijaazat… one of the best musics of a movie… four songs and all four best… I can never ever decide which ones I like better… Asha and RD at best
I is also for Ilaiyaraaja.. a great great musician…
One of my all time favourites
and another one from the same movie which is Ojas’s favourite, he goes akhiyum akhiyum every night
the more latest from cheeni kum
Ok..that’s a lot of songs to listen too…..will listen and come back for some wise gyan
Oh Oh Ohooo (‘A’ looking around excitedly….me first? me first? me first?) YES!
perks of being vella and jobless!
‘A’ dancing to ” time of my life”
he he he
monika joining A in the dance its anyways a rediscovered passion
Lots to listen to!! But I do remember Iron Maiden!
Have a great week!
Sylvia
thanks and welcome here
What an eclectic music mix.
An Arkies Musings
thanks richie
and welcome here
iron maiden is too heavy for me…but i like their music and guitar work when they are not screaming or jumping around like crazy…….The guitar work in the first video, fear of the dark is really awesome. Just look at the crowd swaying…it’s enchanting and I feel high from it all!
I like Chhoti Si Kahani Se from Ijaazat…but the others are equally good too……
…it sure is slow and sleepy…I almost dozed off at 12.30pm…
LOL!!
I’m very bad with musicians, singers, music and songs in general. Be it hindi or english I never remember who sing what song……..even though I might know the song by heart… so yes, I’ve never heard of Ilaiyaraaja before…but I have heard this song “Ae zindagi gale laga le”, numerous time and love it and seen this movie too…….See, Blogging can be educational too
Do you put Ojas to sleep with that song…the “akhiyum akhiyum” one
Monix, that’s been one good musical hour for me (i listened to all of them!! ..howzzz that!!!)…and I learned about another musician too…thank you
…and Tabu is am amazing actress, is’nt she.
its the guitar that i love them for too… used to be a fan at one point of time I think I am slowly growing out of it or becoming old may be
he he I agree blogging sometimes can be very very educational dear
LOL so did u sleep
yes yes i am a big tabu fan
I’ve heard of them, but actually prefer not so much screaming and jumping around. Lots to listen to here. Thanks so much for sharing your love of Iron Maiden.
I know what u mean
welcome here
Wonderful song selection!
Out of all, I love Aye zindagi gale lage.. and mera kuch saamaan. Gulzar!
no one does it better than gulzar… when I was doing G… he was another person on mind but geeta dutt one the round
I love songs from Ijazzat.

Now let me go mark mine
all of us are jokers
Lots to listen to! Nice selection, for sure!
thanks and welcome here tumble words
Iron Maiden? You’re a revelation! That’s one song too many than I have heard in your list
Actually in those teenage years when metal seems to be the onlu solace my preference was more grungy like Nirvana, Soundgarden and Metallica as a more mainstream sound. Alas, all that is over now (thankfully, some would say).
Speaking of which I’ll tag you on a post I’m writing about the ultimate playlist.
oh yes I agree I think i am also growing out of it
Ilayaraja – my fav tooooo !!!!
Asha + RD = Super Combo !!! Me just love them all.
ditto uma
loved Izzazat songs, so much of melody there. and I love the favourite of Ojas very much:)
same pinch from ojas
“Mera Kuch Samaan”- I can’t stop gushing abt this song. The lyrics are just out of the world.
Nice seslection of songs Monika
same here its a really romantic song isnt it ?
Cool selection
Suresh Wadkar weaves magic with Ae Zindagi Gale Laga le!
oh yes he has a magical voice
interesting choice of music!
thanks magic eye and welcome here
Ilayaraja is awesome..:)
I agree
Monu u have my mostest fav songs out here. Am in the middle of %*&#$% workload, and just seeing these song titles has calmed me down!! *crafty deeply breathes with a serene smile*
i am not fond of rock. the only rock i have liked is Pink Floyd, and they are simply an unconventional rock… lets just say they are a genre on thier own!!! *crafty spares few minutes for pink floyd worship*
Super tight hugs for songs of ijazzat. And even more hugs and muahs for not being able to decide which ones u like best!!!
Tho I like all three u put, I have a special connect with Khaali haath shyam aayi hai. Mera kuch samaan has been really rated high coz of lyrics and the composition, but I found Khaali haath much more alluring to the soul!! But my absolute fav is Choti si kahani se!!! gosh! I can do a post on all these songs!!!!
there are 3 songs I listen to everyday on my cell, as if my life depended on them…
Phir wohi raat hai – kishore
Choti si kahani se – Asha
Shine on you – Pink Floyd
And of late, I have one more added to my daily list, its Yaaron (Rockford) sung by vimmuuu. Am not sure if u follow this blogger, but here’s a link – http://vlokam.wordpress.com/v-mphony/
yaaron is song no 7. If u can, hear it and tell me if I am not right in hearing it every single day??!!!!
with this comment, I have effectively ruined my reputation and record of leg-pulling of vimmuuu that I had maintained…
AHA! Ilaiyaraaja!!!! Soooper tight hugs!!! That Aye zindagi song sounds like it has an entire orchestra with all the possible instruments! As always, the violin bits are sooper!! Another fav by him is Tu mile dil khile from movie Criminal
I am not sure if I have heard the cheeni kum song….
MONU!!!!!!!!!! I LOVED THIS REALLLLY!!!!! Okies… after this awesome writing of my fav songs, I will dive back into work! (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))
*monu gives crafty a nice tight hug*
oh i love pink floyd

oh yes KK is a genius…. I had that as my hello tune for quite sometime, have u heard Pal by him… another one to treasure
oh yes tum mile how did i forget it… very remiss of me
he he
hugs
Never heard of Ilaiyaraaja, but that’s not unusual.
Not into Iron Maiden, but I know fans of the group.
Roger really thanks for coming here everyweek inspite of not really connecting to the kind of music I put… thanks a lot
Loveeedddd all the videos. I felt really nostalgic! got to know a lot about you from pixie!
he he what did that brat tell u now????
Funnily enough, I’ve never really listened to Iron Maiden despite having a son who was into them at one time. I have the first one playing now!
thats the best one
You certainly supplied us with lots to listen to!
thanks EG and welcome here
Izzat , ghar are my all time favourite movies for songs and I also could never decide ..who is better between Asha and RD but together they are deadly!! It was good to see the videos
oh yes ghar songs were just brilliant
i had a CD which had ijazzat, ghar and masum songs sigh someone flicked it
and yes they were the best thing to happen to bollywood music in those times
iron Maiden performed in Bangalore recently no. We (Sob) couldn’t attend. But then we never get to attend any concert these days.
